Happy Monday Team!

Firstly, I want to express how incredibly proud we are of how our last two weeks of racing have gone which has been fruitful for us, especially with the last meet against Mt Carmel. The admin was a bit messy, we lost a key varsity girl swimmer last minute and we rallied back with some great swims in uncharted water. This to me is the definition of a team. When we can all come together, be there for one another with a common goal and at the same time leverage each other's strengths and overcome each other's weaknesses. That is how this team is learning to operate each week through racing and showing up to achieve that goal together. I cannot be more proud and look forward to what lies ahead. 

Tonight is a mandatory workout. We are spearheading our fundraiser night so please bring your phones, have them fully charged and meet Dylan. Dylan has been the facilitator of our fundraising efforts every year I have been a part of this team. We will meet the first half hour of our practice time and then swim the remainder. Please be at the pool at 6pm. 

This Friday, 3/27 is our meet with another league competitor Westview HS. We will have an early release at 1:45pm and a 2pm bus ride. Our warm-up is at 3:15pm. I am now awaiting confirmation of the start time for the diving portion of the meet which precedes swimming. Thank you to the parents who signed up for snack and drink donations last week. We will need help again this week and as you can see the snacks are depleted quite quickly. There is a snack bar at this pool so if you are interested in something more hearty then bring some cash. Finally, we will bring the two tarps to this meet and are interested in finding someone who is willing to take them home/store them until our next meet. 

Spring break is approaching and we will have early workout options Monday-Wednesday only next week. I have secured morning workout times for Monday + Wednesday 9:30-11:00am. I am working on an earlier afternoon option for Tuesday so we do not have to come to the pool late at night so stay tuned. We may share the pool with El Camino high school.
